World Book Day this year falls on the 3/3/2022 (the first Thursday back) and so as a school we have planned a number of wonderful activities for the day centred around this delightful book: Everybody's Welcome by Patricia Hegarty.

Since the book’s main characters are all animals, as a school, we have decided that children can dress up as their favourite animal from a book for example Winnie the Pooh, The Hungry Caterpillar, The Cat In The Hat etc. We look forward to seeing what the children come dressed as.

Furthermore, we will be having a book sale in the second week back and so please send in any unwanted books (in good condition), which we can sell and generate income for new books!

Lastly, since our book is all about homes and buildings, I would like you to design, and then make (or build), a building from a book this could be Hogwarts, Little Red Riding Hood’s cottage, a Bilbo Baggin’s house, Rapunzel's Tower, the Three Little Pigs’ houses and there are many more!

Your building will be judged on the following criteria: likeness (we should be able to guess which book the building is from), creativity and details (the more the better)

Once you have finished your building, please bring in your creation. Entries need to be in school by 0900 on World Book Day (3/3/22).
