We are all looking forward to a super year! It is a big step moving from Early Years to the beginning of a new curriculum. There will be lots of changes over the course of the year but there will lots of familiar activities too.
We begin 'Forest School', which allows children to play and create their own outdoor learning experiences in a safe environment - this is something all the children are very excited about. We have a sports coach to support our PE lessons and the opportunity to join in after school craft and games clubs.
It is vitally important that school and family continue to work together to support all the children's learning. Reading books and homework will be sent home and we are always available to discuss any concerns.
This term we begin the topic Bright Lights, Big City.
Homework: Is sent home on a Thursday, returned on Monday. Please ensure that homework is completed in pencil by the children.
PE: Is on a Monday Please ensure earrings are removed and kit is in school. This is an important part of our learning.
Author of the half term: Shirley Hughes
Reading books: Must be brought in daily, they will be changed Monday, Wednesday and Friday, if a comment has been made in the diary. Please try to read regularly and talk about each of the books.
