Topic

Paws, Claws and Whiskers!

This topic will start off with a visit to Stockley Farm where the children will be able to see and learn all about different types of animals. They might even have the chance to pet, feed and care for some of these. After this exciting introduction the children will spend the rest of their time in Year One learning about growth, life cycles and what all animals need in order to stay healthy and happy. We will use this topic as inspiration for our writing and the children will be writing extended stories based on books about animals.
