Remembrance walk to the Cenotaph on November 11th 2014

Class 3 and class 4 (Year 2) walked to the local Cenotaph to pay respect on behave of Ravensfield Primary School. We listened to the 'Last Post' and left a wreath from the school at the memorial. While we were there we met various local veterans and they thanked us for coming.

Mrs Allford

Finding myself travelling between meetings just before 11 am today, I decided it would be appropriate to stop at the cenotaph in Dukinfield to observe the Remembrance Silence.

When I arrived there, there were a number of children and staff from your school, along with other members of the community.

I think it is important  to acknowledge, not only how pleased I was to see that the children were allowed to observe what was happening at the cenotaph, but also the impeccable behaviour of the children representing your school.  I know, working in education, how all too often we only get to hear about the bad things that happen, and I think it is very important to comment about good behaviour too.

The  children were a credit to your school, and I hope you are able to pass my comments on to your staff and children.

With reagards,

Linda Mason
