For our last PE lesson with Mr Pritchard we had a mini Class Three Sports Day. We all had lots of fun.
Our school grounds
Class 3 conducted a Biostudy to Biomap our school grounds.
Shhhhh! Siesta in progress.
We worked very hard this afternoon during Spanish. Señora Buckley told us all about how the children in Spain have a siesta in the day time. She dicided that because we worked so hard we should have a 30 second siesta at the end of our lesson.
Painting with Water Colours.
We used Water Colour Paints to paint a beach landscape. How beautiful!
What a fantastic time we had at Formby Beach! We walked along the strand line to see what had been washed up. We found lots of interesting things which our guide was able to tell us all about.
We have two children in our class celebrating a birthday over the coming week.Today we sang Happy Birthday to them in Spanish. In Spain it is tradition that on your birthday you receive " los tirones de Oreos." Which means "the ear tugs." You get one for each year of your life and one more for good luck.
A Spanish song all about our feelings.
Class 3 had a visit from a Giant Pink Legged Millipede named Barry. How exciting!
Barry the Giant Millipede
The RSPB came to visit our class. As part of the visit we learnt all about "Giving Nature A Home". During our session we went outside to seek signs of nature making a home within our school grounds. It was amazing what we found!
Wriggles and Crawls
Take a look at some of our work so far.
Christmas Tree Festival
Today we mixed M&M's and water to see what would happen to the food colouring. We then turned the plates to mix the colours and noticed that the M printed on the M&M's had come away from the chocolate but retained it's shape!
