We would like to say hello, and welcome you and your child to class 1. Together we will do the best possible job we can to make sure that your children are always learning, laughing and growing together.
Year One is a important year for the children, as they make their first steps onto the National Curriculum. We will continue to learn practically and through play, but also become more formal as the year progresses.
Our Topic this term is Bright Lights, Big City
What do you know about England’s capital city? Let’s find out all about London, including its history, transport and famous landmarks. Step back in time and discover what happened in the Great Fire of London. Where did it start? How did it end? London’s burning, London’s burning! Fire, Fire! Fire, Fire! Are you ready for the bright lights of the big city? Hop in a black cab and…enjoy the ride!
Homework: Is sent home on a Thursday, returned on Monday. Please ensure that homework is completed in pencil.
